MWS Nurses Recognised at Community Care Manpower Development and Excellence Awards 2025

Congratulations to MWS nurses – Cindy See Xing Li, Felipe Clen Destine Gangano, and Usha Raman – who were honoured at the Community Care Manpower Development and Excellence Awards 2025.

The Community Care and Excellence Awards (CCEA) ceremony was held on 24 September 2025 in conjunction with the Community Care Manpower Development Awards (CCMDA) at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, which commend both organisations and individuals for their outstanding achievements in the sector and the pursuit of lifelong learning.

Community Care Excellence Award

Cindy, Nurse Manager at MWS Home Care & Home Hospice, received the Gold award in recognition of her commitment to the highest standards of home-based health, social, and palliative care.

With 15 years of nursing experience, Cindy’s calling was shaped by her own family’s journey through illness – particularly her mother’s battle with nasopharyngeal cancer. “She underwent a major operation to remove her right eye and cheekbone, followed by radiotherapy that left burns. “I tended to her wounds on my own, and I felt so helpless,” Cindy recalled. “Those experiences left a deep impression on me and planted the seed for my nursing journey.”

Community Care Manpower Development Award

Felipe Clen Destine Gangano, Assistant Nurse Manager, MWS Nursing Home – Yew Tee
Usha Raman, Senior Staff Nurse II, MWS Bethany Nursing Home – Choa Chu Kang

Both Felipe (Assistant Nurse Manager, at MWS Nursing Home – Yew Tee) and Usha, (Senior Staff Nurse II, at MWS Bethany Nursing Home – Choa Chu Kang) received the Community Care Manpower Development Award to study the Specialist Diploma in Nursing (Gerontology).
